Chief of India’s RAW in Dhaka now

Parag Jain, the chief of India's foreign intelligence agency the Research & Analysis Wing (RAW), has arrived in Dhaka on an official visit amid efforts to normalise relations between the two countries.
A government source told bdnews24.com that Jain is leading a four-member high-level delegation on this visit at the invitation of their Bangladeshi counterparts.
However, no country has officially released any information about the visit of the Indian delegation.
Jain, in addition to serving as the secretary of RAW and the special secretary of the Special Protection Group (SPG), is also leading the delegation in Dhaka.
Ashwin Mukund Kotnis, Rahul Negi and Shaibal Roy Chowdhury are also accompanying him on the Dhaka visit.
They arrived at Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday afternoon on board an Air India flight.
The government source confirmed to bdnews24.com that they will be staying at a hotel in the capital during this visit.
Jain visited China before coming to Bangladesh.
