ICT orders to produce Ziaul Ahsan before tribunal

International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) orders to the authorities to produce former army officer Ziaul Ahsan before the tribunal on 27 August in case on crime against humanity filed over enforce disappearance of the current Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed in 2015.
ICT tribunal-1 passed the order on Monday (10 August). The tribunal fixed the next date 27 August for hearing the case.
Ziaul Ahsan is under arrest in several crime against humanity cases.
Salahuddin Ahmed submitted an allegation over the issue to the Chief Prosecutor office in 19 June this year.
In his allegations, the other accused are ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former IGP Benazir Ahmed, former IGP AKM Shahidul Haque, former DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia and former chief of SB Monirul Islam and unidentified several others.
Earlier, Sahahuddin Ahmed’s wife Hasina Ahmed alleged that he (Sahahuddin) was abducted in 10 Mrach, 2015, from an Uttara residence.
Besides, BNP also alleged that law enforcers personnel were abducted Salahuddin Ahmed.
Salahuddin Ahmed was the party’s (BNP) spokeperson in that time.
Meanwhile, Indian police on 11 May in the same year said they have detained Salahuddin Ahmed from Shilong, Meghalaya on based on information from the local people that he (Sahahuddin) was wandering like a distracted person.
Salahuddin Ahmed returned home on 11 August, 2024 after fascist Hasian’s fall on 5 August in the same year.
