Using Prime Minister's photograph at government events bars

The government has officially prohibited the use of the Prime Minister's photograph on banners, festoons, and billboards prepared for any government event.
The directive was issued in a circular released on Sunday (July 5) by the General Administration Wing of the Cabinet Division.
According to the circular, signed by Deputy Secretary Tania Afroz, the use of the Prime Minister's photograph—whether in 3D or any other format—on banners, festoons, and billboards produced for government events is strictly prohibited.
The circular further states that the design of banners, festoons, and billboards for government functions must prioritize the subject matter of the event and present only relevant and appropriate information. It also instructs that the designs should clearly reflect the event's purpose, message, and theme.
The government has described the matter as being of "utmost importance" and directed that the instruction be implemented with immediate effect.
Copies of the circular have been sent to the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, all Senior Secretaries and Secretaries, the Chief Information Officer of the Department of Information, all Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners (DCs), and Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) for necessary action and implementation.
