Public Service Commission (PSC) Chairman Professor Mobasser Monem is set to resign from his post.
A source familiar with the matter said the PSC chairman may submit his resignation letter on Tuesday (August 18).
Meanwhile, Mobassher Monem told the media that he has not yet resigned. “Once I resign, I will inform the media,” he said.
A professor of the Public Administration Department at Dhaka University, Mobassher Monem was appointed PSC chairman in October 2024 during the interim government’s tenure.
Following the fall of the Awami League government amid the July Uprising, the then PSC chairman and 12 members of the commission resigned in 2024.
