Want to go ahead keeping all together: Tarique Rahman

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said his government’s main objective is to move forward by taking everyone along.

“The main objective of our government is that we never want to go back. We want to move forward by keeping all the people together. Everyone needs to work together if we really want to make progress,” the prime minister said while attending the Revenue Conference 2026 as the chief guest at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC) in the capital on Tuesday morning.

The Internal Resources Division of the Ministry of Finance and the National Board of Revenue (NBR) jointly organised the conference.

Boosting revenue collection, making tax administration more effective and mobilising the revenue needed for the national economy were among the key issues discussed at the conference.

The event also provided participants with an opportunity to exchange views with the prime minister.

Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and Prime Minister’s Finance and Planning Adviser Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir also attended the conference.
