Over 100 AL men detained from sacred meeting in JSD office

Police have detained more than 100 supporters of Awami League from Jatiya Somajtantrik Dal (Jasad) central office at Gulistan in the capital on Saturday (26 September).

Dhaka Metropolitan police (DMP) said they have detained those AL supporters and workers at the noon.

Police claimed that those people were on secret meeting in the office.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Paltan Police Station Ariful Alam confirmed the matter.

He said, “We received information that AL workers were holding a secret meeting at the JSD central office in Gulistan. We then conducted a drive and detained them.”

The OC said police were on alert to prevent AL men from carrying out further unlawful activities.

Ariful Alam said he would provide details after the police completed the drive.
