Protecting the security, safety, and sanctity of the two holy mosques in Makkah and Madinah—Haramain Sharifain—is a fundamental faith-based responsibility of the global Muslim Ummah, said Professor Dr. Abdullah Farooque, President of Bangladesh Jamiyat Ahl-Al-Hadith.

"Any attempt to disrupt the security of these two holy mosques is highly condemnable. Muslims across the world must set aside their differences and stand united to safeguard the dignity and protection of Haramain Sharifain," he said.

He made the observations while presiding over a national seminar titled ‘Position Against Houthi Terrorists to Protect Haramain Sharifain: Our Faith-Based Responsibility’ organized by Bangladesh Jamiyat Ahl-Al-Hadith at the Zahur Hussain Chowdhury Hall of the National Press Club in Dhaka on Thursday (15 October).

The seminar was convened to protest attacks and aggression targeted toward Saudi Arabia by the Houthi group and to reinforce the unified role of the Muslim Ummah in protecting the holy sites.

"Protecting Haramain Sharifain is an integral part of our faith. Holy Makkah and Madinah are the spiritual heart of Muslims worldwide, and any conspiracy to undermine their security is an act against the core values of Islam," Dr. Farooque remarked.

He described Houthi attacks as a matter of severe concern for the entire Muslim world, emphasizing that there can be no compromise on the safety of the holy sanctuaries.

Expressing gratitude to the government of Bangladesh for its decision to deploy armed forces to assist in safeguarding the holy sites, Dr. Farooque called on Muslim nations to play a coordinated, effective, and responsible role in ensuring their long-term protection.

The event featured Professor Muhammad Asadul Islam, Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamiyat Ahl-Al-Hadith, as the chief speaker.

Among other discussants included Vice Presidents Prof. Dr. Dewan Abdur Rahim, Prof. Dr. Ahmadullah Trishali, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raisuddin, and Shaikh Dr. Muhammad Hasan Sign; International Islamic University Chittagong Professor Dr. Musleh Uddin; Central Jamiyat Advisor Shaikh Saifuddin Bilal Madani; Shaikh Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Khan Madani; National University Associate Professor Dr. Mahmud Imam Hossain; Joint Secretary General Shaikh Dr. Muzaffar Bin Muhsin; and other central leaders.

Organizers noted that raising global awareness, fostering solidarity, and inspiring a responsible, unified stance among Muslims to protect Makkah and Madinah remain the primary objectives of organizing the national seminar, according to aprèss release.
