A section trying to make country unstable: Tarique Rahman

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said that a section of people started smear campaign against the government using social media platform.

They are spreading rumors and initiated false propagandas to provoke the countrymen. Their aim is to make the country unstable further, the PM said.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said these on Thursday (3 September) while addressing a programme to exchange greetings with prominent members of the Hindu community on the occasion of Janmashtami and to distribute honorariums among priests and sebaits.

The Premier walked from his office at Bangladesh Secretariat to Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital to attend the Janmashtami programme as the chief guest at 10:00am.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust jointly organised the programme, which is being attended by leading representatives of the Hindu community, religious leaders, eminent citizens, and priests and sebaits from different parts of the country.
