Gold prices rise again: How much new price

Just one day after the previous adjustment, the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has increased gold prices in the local market once again.
This time, the price of 22-carat gold has been raised by BDT 4,374 per bhori, bringing the new price, including VAT, to BDT 228,556 per bhori.
According to a BAJUS statement issued on Friday (July 3), the revised prices took effect from 10:00 a.m. the same day.
The statement said that the price of pure gold (acid-tested gold) has increased in the local market. Considering the overall market situation, BAJUS has revised gold prices accordingly, including VAT.
Under the new pricing:
22-carat gold: BDT 228,556 per bhori (11.664 grams)
21-carat gold: BDT 218,292 per bhori
18-carat gold: BDT 187,440 per bhori
Traditional-method gold: BDT 153,148 per bhori
Previously, on Thursday (July 2), BAJUS had also adjusted gold prices. At that time, the price of 22-carat gold was increased by BDT 2,216 per bhori, setting the price, including VAT, at BDT 224,182 per bhori.
The previous prices were:
22-carat gold: BDT 224,182 per bhori
21-carat gold: BDT 214,093 per bhori
18-carat gold: BDT 183,883 per bhori
Traditional-method gold: BDT 150,232 per bhori
Those prices became effective from 10:00 a.m. on July 2.
With this latest revision, gold prices in Bangladesh have been adjusted 86 times so far this year. Of these, prices have been increased 43 times, decreased 42 times, and VAT has been adjusted once.
