At the consumer level, it will be known on Thursday (July 2) whether the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will increase in the country in July. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) will announce the new price of LPG for the month of July.

According to a press release issued by Saudi Aramco, the order of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) on price adjustment of private LPG at the consumer level in July will be announced on Thursday.

The announcement will be made at a press conference at the hearing room of the commission office of the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) at the Shaheed Engineer Bhaban (sixth floor) in the capital's Ramna at 3 pm.

In addition, the order regarding the announcement of new prices of LPG can be found on the commission's website (www.berc.org.bd).

Earlier on June 2, the BERC had reduced the price of a 12 kg LPG cylinder from Rs 1,940 to Tk 1,885. At the same time, the price of auto gas used in vehicles was reduced from Tk 89.50 per liter to Tk 86.93 per liter.
