Bangladesh receives 28.5 billion USD remittance in July

Bangladesh received 28.8 billion and 9 million USD remittance on July, the first month of the 2026-27 fiscal year.

This amount is 15.4 percent more than the same period in the last year.

Bangladesh Bank’s updated data revealed it.

As per the data of the central bank, Bangladesh got 24.7 billion and 8 million USD in July last year.

In this account, about 3.8 billion and one million USD migrant workers earning has been increased in the difference of one year.

Bangladesh Bank said, about 1.5 billion and 2 million USD remittance was received on the last two days (30 and 31 July) of the month.

Analysts said, increasing migrants keenness to send money home through the legal -banking channel, government’s measures to contain hundi and increasing incentives on migrant workers’ sending money positively contributed on growing remittance.
