60 Km/h storms likely in 13 regions by noon

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds of up to 60 kilometres per hour in 13 regions of the country by noon on Tuesday (4 August).
According to a weather bulletin issued by the Met Office, south or south-easterly winds with speeds ranging from 45km/h to 60km/h may sweep across Rangpur, Dinajpur, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet districts.
The bulletin also warned of temporary gusty winds, lightning and rain in the affected areas.
The Met Office has advised all river ports in the forecast areas to hoist Cautionary Signal No. 1.
