Meeting on 'Non-violence march' held in Ishwardi

Ahead of the global program '4th World March for Peace and Non-Violence 2026, In My City' (September 21 to October 4), a participatory joint preparatory and opinion-sharing meeting was held in Ishwardi, a northern district town in Bangladesh.
Organized by the Humanist Movement, Ishwardi Center, the joint meeting was attended by student representatives from social organizations 'Manab' and 'Care for Humanity', as well as local educational institutions including Railway Nazimuddin High School, Government Sara Marwari School and College, Ishwardi Government College, Ishwardi Cricket Academy, Bhasa Shahid Bidya Niketan, Manik Nagar School, and Airport School.
Chaired by Masum Parvez Kollol, Coordinator of the Humanist Movement, Ishwardi Center, the session focused on formulating various programs and strategies to ensure the success of the upcoming 4th World March for Peace and Non-Violence 2026.
Mr. Decler Mendes Hague (Australia), responsible for the promotion and expansion of the 4th World March for Peace and Non-Violence in the South Asian region; Sheikh Mohammad Arif, Coordinator of the Humanist Movement Bangladesh Coordination Body and Panel Editor of the International Press Agency Pressenza (Dhaka Bureau); and Mr. Maruf Ul Alam, Head of Support Functions and Staff Correspondent, were present at the meeting and highlighted the importance and significance of the World March for Peace and Non-Violence.
