Bangladeshi expatriate Muhammad Yunus has been named Employee of the Year for the 2026 academic year at the renowned Kalba English School in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. He is a native of Fatikchhari, Chattogram, Bangladesh.

The school authorities recently presented him with a commemorative award and certificate in recognition of his exceptional honesty, dedication, sense of responsibility, and sincere commitment to his work.

According to the school, Muhammad Yunus joined Kalba English School as an administrative officer in 2011. The institution, which follows both the British and American curricula, employs around 350 staff members and serves more than 5,000 students.

Among the school's large workforce, Yunus was selected for the institution's highest honor in recognition of his outstanding professional performance and integrity.

Muhammad Yunus has been living and working in Sharjah, UAE, with distinction for the past 13 years. He is the son of Muhammad Abul Kashem from Tarakon village in Fatikchhari Upazila, Chattogram.

Expressing his gratitude, Yunus said, "A person's greatest asset is honesty. I have received this award because of my integrity, hard work, and sincere dedication to my responsibilities. This honor is not mine alone—it belongs to all Bangladeshi expatriates living in the United Arab Emirates."

The achievement of a Bangladeshi expatriate receiving such prestigious recognition is seen as enhancing Bangladesh's image across the Middle East.

His success has been widely celebrated by the Bangladeshi community in the UAE, leaders of the Bangladesh Press Club UAE, and residents of his hometown. Colleagues, friends, and well-wishers have also extended their congratulations through social media.
