Speaker Hafiz Uddin to attend Khamenei's janaja and burial

Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed will attend the namaj-e-janaja and burial ceremonies of Iran's former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed in a U.S.-Israeli attack. The Government of Bangladesh is sending him as the country's official representative.
The funeral and burial ceremonies are scheduled to take place from July 4 to July 9. The events will be held in Tehran, as well as the holy cities of Qom and Mashhad.
According to a report by the Bangladeshi news outlet Kalbela, citing relevant sources, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed will travel to Iran in July to attend the funeral and burial of the late former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
A diplomatic source told UNB that Speaker Hafiz Uddin is expected to arrive in Tehran on July 3 at the invitation of Iran's Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
In the invitation letter sent to the Bangladeshi Speaker, Iran's Speaker wrote:
"I sincerely invite you to give us the opportunity to host you at this historic and magnificent occasion."
According to Iran's state media, the funeral of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei will begin in Tehran on July 4, and he will be laid to rest in his hometown of Mashhad on July 9.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, aged 86, was reportedly killed on February 28 in a joint U.S.-Israeli operation at his office in Tehran. Following the incident, the Iranian government immediately declared 40 days of national mourning and seven days of public holidays. After an extended period of preparations, the burial date was finalized for July.
