Action to be taken if any media publish Hasina’s speech: PM’s Adviser

Prime Minister’s information Adviser Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman asked media not to publish ousted fascist Sheikh Hasina’s speech as the court has barred it.
If the court directives dishonored, the government will take necessary action, he warned.
The Adviser said these at a press briefing in the secretariat on Tuesday (4 August) while replying to a query from journalists.
Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman said, the government previously also issued cautionary directives for media on this matter. If any media publish that Sheikh Hasina will deliver speech, that will also be similar of disobeying the court’s directives.
He said, every person or institutions has to follow the court’s directives.
The government’s responsibility is to ensure and implement the court’s directives.
He said also if there were no court’s directions, it will not be fair to prohibit Hasina’s speech.
“If anyone think the directive is not fair, he could challenge it in the court. But so far it is in effect, everyone has to obey it,” he said.
He said, Hasina is death sentenced accused. She will be arrested if return to the country. Later, she will get legal facilities as per laws.
Replying to another query, Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman said, Hasina’s call had not any impact previously.
“Some persons may even now support Hasina as beneficiary of her rule. But they have no moral or organizational strength to make challenge to the government,” he said.
