Colonel Oli advises Prime Minister not to stay night outside Dhaka

LDP Chairman Dr. Colonel (Retd.) Oli Ahmed has advised Prime Minister Tarek Rahman not to stay overnight outside Dhaka.
He made the remarks on Wednesday (July 8) afternoon while speaking at a seminar organized by the 11-party alliance at the Diploma Engineers Institution auditorium in the capital.
Oli Ahmed said the Prime Minister's first and foremost task should be to identify and remove foreign spies operating in Bangladesh, alleging that they are harming both the government and the country. He also urged Tarek Rahman, as the son of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and late President Ziaur Rahman, to take initiatives for reforms.
"You cannot govern the country while being surrounded by enemies," he said. "We are your open opponents, but those standing beside you are your real enemies."
He further alleged that foreign spies have infiltrated key positions within both the government and the ruling party, warning that the Prime Minister is surrounded by hostile elements who could cause him serious harm at any time.
Oli Ahmed also claimed that the country's law and order situation is poor, extortion is taking place in various areas, the economy is struggling, and new investment is not coming in. "You (Tarek Rahman) are not in a strong position," he said.
Concluding his remarks, Oli Ahmed said he hoped the Prime Minister would be remembered in history as a leader, adding that the 11-party alliance is not his enemy but his friend, which is why it is offering this advice publicly.
