Bangladesh Labour Party Chairman Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Iran has said that a united movement must be built against fascism and hegemonic forces to further strengthen the struggle for establishing democracy, voting rights, and the rule of law in the country.

He alleged that those who do not believe in democracy, people's voting rights, and the rule of law are the ones attempting to undermine the spirit of the July Mass Uprising.

He made the remarks on Monday (July 6) night at a joining ceremony held at Hotel Rahmania International in the capital, where noted social worker and former student leader Md. Nazmul Islam Talukder formally joined the Bangladesh Labour Party by presenting a bouquet of flowers to the party chairman.

Addressing the event, Dr. Iran said, "We will sacrifice our lives, but we will never give up July." He stressed that the Bangladesh Labour Party must be further organized and strengthened from the grassroots by embracing the sacrifices and spirit of the July Mass Uprising in order to build a Bangladesh founded on justice.

Among those present at the অনুষ্ঠানে were Acting Secretary General of the Bangladesh Labour Party Khandaker Mirajul Islam, Joint Secretary General Md. Helal Uddin Chowdhury, Office Secretary Md. Miraj Khan, Finance Secretary Md. Zahidul Islam, Panchagarh District President Md. Ferdous Alam, President of Bangladesh Chhatra Mission Syed Md. Milon, Convener of Dhaka Metropolitan Chhatra Mission Md. Raihan Uddin Sani, member Md. Sabbir Ahmed, along with central and affiliated organization leaders of the party.

After joining the party, newcomer Md. Nazmul Islam Talukder expressed his full support for the ideals, principles, and programmes of the Bangladesh Labour Party. He also pledged to work actively with the party to establish a just, discrimination-free, and democratic Bangladesh.
