Awami league used bot force to spread propaganda in Shibir's name: Saddam

Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir President Nurul Islam Saddam has dismissed allegations that the organization operates bot networks to conduct online propaganda, calling the claims entirely baseless.
He said Shibir members devote their time to self-development and constructive activities, and that the organization does not support politics based on personal attacks or abusive language through fake or bot-operated accounts.
Speaking recently on Alapon, a program hosted by Asia Post, Saddam said the Awami League and its allies had spent billions of dollars over a long period to build a large bot network. According to him, that network created fake accounts in the name of Chhatra Shibir to spread offensive and misleading content, before attempting to shift the blame onto the organization.
He further alleged that some other major political parties are now also systematically creating thousands of bot accounts. As an example, he claimed that evidence had emerged showing instructions given to leaders of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal to open bot accounts, including at Patuakhali Science and Technology University.
Saddam said these accounts are being used under a coordinated plan to wage online campaigns against political opponents and spread rumors aimed at escalating tensions.
The Chhatra Shibir president also stated that the organization has its own online code of conduct, which every member is required to follow. He said that if any member violates the policy by engaging in abusive language or inappropriate behavior online, the organization takes disciplinary action. He added that Chhatra Shibir is committed to maintaining a respectful, rational, and constructive environment in cyberspace.
