As the football world remains divided over the World Cup final, Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazário has made his prediction without hesitation. Instead of Lionel Messi's Argentina, the two-time World Cup winner believes Spain will lift the trophy. He even expects Spain to win the final comfortably.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil ahead of the final, Ronaldo said he believes Spain will emerge victorious with relative ease. He revealed that Spain and France had been his two favorites since the beginning of the tournament, and after Spain defeated France in the semifinals, he is confident they will justify his faith by winning the title.

The former Barcelona and Real Madrid striker believes Spain's ability to dominate possession and control matches gives them a significant advantage. According to Ronaldo, Spanish players are developed within a well-defined footballing philosophy from a young age, allowing them to instinctively know how to respond to different situations on the pitch.

Ronaldo also suggested that if Spain take a one or two-goal lead, it will be extremely difficult for Argentina to fight back. He believes Luis de la Fuente's side possess the quality to retain possession, dictate the tempo, and keep opponents out of the game once they are ahead.

However, the Brazilian icon did not underestimate Argentina's World Cup campaign. He praised the defending champions for their fighting spirit, resilience, and competitive mentality throughout the tournament.

While describing Argentina's journey as remarkable, Ronaldo believes Spain hold a slight edge in terms of tactical preparation and overall team cohesion.

Argentina and Spain will face off in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final at 1:00 a.m. (Bangladesh time) on Monday at New York New Jersey Stadium.

Messi's side will be aiming to defend their title, while Spain will be seeking their second World Cup crown after their triumph in 2010.
