Iran launches missile attacks to US command center in Jordan

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for launching 10 ballistic missiles at Jordan's Azraq military base.
According to the IRGC, the attack specifically targeted a U.S. command and control center located inside the base.
Jordan, citing its state news agency, said its air defense systems intercepted eight missiles fired from Iran and reported no casualties or damage.
In a statement published by Iran's Fars News Agency, the IRGC said the intended target was the U.S. command and control center at the base.
Warning of further retaliation if Washington continues its military operations, the IRGC said, "If the terrorist U.S. forces commit aggression again, no other American military bases in the region will be safe from our large-scale missile attacks."
Earlier, on Wednesday night (July 8), the United States carried out airstrikes on several targets inside Iran.
According to the U.S. military, the strikes targeted Iran's military infrastructure, coastal defense systems, missile positions, and military logistics facilities in response to attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran's state broadcaster IRIB reported that U.S. forces fired seven missiles at the Aq Tappeh Khan Bridge, located outside Aqqala in Golestan Province. The attack triggered at least two explosions on a nearby railway line. However, Iranian authorities have not yet released complete information regarding casualties or the full extent of the damage.
In retaliation for the U.S. airstrikes, Iran also launched missile and drone attacks on U.S. military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the attacks on Thursday morning (July 9).
